WHAT'S INTERESTING ABOUT THIS CONCERT

Music Director Donato Cabrera describes the Reich Duet as a kind of update on The Four Seasons. It features a soloist (Alexi Kenney) plus a secondary soloist (Jennifer Cho) playing with strings, just like the Vivaldi piece.
Alexi Kenney returns to his native Bay Area after an acclaimed 2018 debut with the California Symphony to lead Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in true Baroque-style, sans conductor, in this all-strings concert.
George Walker was the first African-American composer to win a Pulitzer Prize. Lyric for Strings is Walker’s best known and most-performed work.

Construction Advisory! The Lesher Center Plaza is under renovation. New and changing traffic patterns around the construction could greatly change travel time and access to the Lesher Center Parking Garage. Passenger Drop Off Alert! The Civic Drive passenger-loading zone will be unavailable at times during the Plaza Renovation. If you are planning on parking in the Lesher Center Garage, please enter the garage from Locust Street, using the right entrance lane, and drop passengers off at the Lesher Center Portal, which leads to our courtyard. Proceed under the Portico to reach the Ticket Office and our front doors (approx. 150 ft. distance). For more information, click here.
