Diablo Ballet celebrates the New Year with the second program of its 28th season Cinderella’s Wedding.

Cinderella's Wedding
Music: Sergei Prokofiev
Choreography: Julia Adam

Based on the story of Cinderella, this world premiere ballet choreographed by the renowned story teller, Julia Adam featuring the romantic score by Sergei Prokofiev reminds us that dreams really do come true.

Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux
Music: Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky’s Excerpt from Swan Lake , Op. 20, Act III
Choreography: George Balanchine

Diablo Ballet presents George Balanchine’s Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux with permission from the Balanchine Trust. An eight-minute display of ballet bravura and technique, the ballet which received its premiere in 1960 at the New York City Ballet, features music that Tchaikovsky originally created for Act III of Swan Lake, but was never used in the original score.

Wayfaring Pilgrim

Choreography: Michael Wells

Company Dancer, Michael Wells, creates a new world premiere, Wayfaring Pilgrim. Set to blues music, this will be his third work for the company.

Book of Alleged Dances
Music: John Adams
Choreography: Val Caniparoli

Diablo Ballet presents the duet from Val Caniparoli’s Book of Alleged Dances which premiered in 1998 at Ballet West which features music by composer John Adams.
