featuring Dr. John McCosker
January 6, 2018

Learn about great white sharks from the man who literally wrote the book on them: Dr. John McCosker!  McCosker, the Chair of the Department of Aquatic Biology at the California Academy of Sciences, will come to Walnut Creek 6 p.m. Saturday Jan. 6 as part of Conservation Icons.

McCosker will present on the threats to sharks and what we all can do to help preserve the future of marine life and the oceans.

Running Time: approx. 60 minutes, with no intermission
The legendary expert on all things sharks is the co-writer of  Great White Shark (coauthored with Richard Ellis) and has been a consistent presence in ocean/fish/shark-related documentaries produced by the Discovery Channel, BBC and Nova, including an IMAX film on the Galápagos.

McCosker is one of nine awe-inspiring speakers that are part of the 2017-18 Conservation Icons series that aims to educate, entertain and inspire change!
