More than a thousand years later this beloved story continues to tell us about ourselves, our yearnings for transformation and a happily ever after conclusion. “A Cinderella Tale…happily ever after” will take young and family audiences on that sometimes happy, sometimes sad – but always compelling journey fueled by inner beauty, courage and kindness as they triumph over greed, arrogance and bully behavior. This classic story is performed by Pushcart Players.

Alex toured the globe as the star of Disney Live!, "Mickey's Magic Show" performing on 4 continents in 14 countries, and with Barnum & Bailey Circus. Alex wows audiences with illusions, card tricks, and magic.
And Much More!
There is also plenty of free entertainment and activities for families. The Festival kicks off at 10:00 am with the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and then boys and girls can join in the Prince and Princess Parade as it winds around the outside of the Lesher Center for the Arts.
A Galaxy Not So Far Away
All Day
The Force will be strong again on July 15, 2017 when Star Wars descends on the Lesher Center during the 11th Annual Chevron Family Theatre Festival. There will be Jedi, Imperial Stormtroopers and 16 other Star Wars characters in authentic, LucasArts-approved costumes. Children (and parents) may build their own LEGO droids to help save the galaxy. Take photos with favorite characters at the Chevron Family Theatre Festival not at all far away.
Galaxy of Fairytale Stars
All Day
Princesses Live! More than 25 of your favorite Storybook characters will perform throughout the Lesher Center, including Elsa, Anna and Olaf in the magical Frozen tent. Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and so many more favorites will be available to take photos.
Stem and Chevron
All Day
Presenting sponsor Chevron has once again set the bar with this year’s giveaway and all kids in attendance will receive a free engineer/scientist puppet. Kids choose from a girl or boy STEM puppet and then may take them inside the Center to create their own show in the second floor Rotunda. Dozens of free activities and the region’s top dancers, singers and performers make this a wonderful day of imagination and entertainment.
This year, we are thrilled to welcome DLUX Puppets, a professional puppetry theater company for families of all ages. Derek Lux, founder, creates high quality puppets to perform musical adaptations of classic works of literature. He uses digitally projected live virtual sets to incorporate modern technology into the magic-making process. Audience members can look forward to a STEM-happy experience informed by the engineering process involved with puppet design, and a social emotional learning component that teaches the power of words, thoughts, feelings and emotional awareness.
