Brad Hogarth and the Contra Costa Wind Symphony present, "From Screen and Stage", an evening of music from opera, drama, television, and movies. Jerome Simas of the San Francisco Symphony will be featured as soloist in the "Concerto for Clarinet" by Artie Shaw, a piece Shaw performed in the movie, Second Chorus. Additional highlights include music from George Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, "Victory at Sea" by Richard Rogers, the Hamlet Suite of Dmitri Shostakovich, "Danse Bacchanale" by Camille Saint-Saens and "Symphonic Suite" from Star Wars: The Force Awakens by John Williams.
