The Lesher Center for the Arts will no longer require proof of vaccination or masks to be worn for entry, beginning July 1, 2022. However, wearing a mask in an indoor public setting continues to be strongly recommended by Contra Costa Health Services.

Diablo Ballet celebrates the new year with a virtual presentation of Balanchine & Beyond.

The second program of Diablo Ballet's 27th Season, Balanchine & Beyond, features the joyous and jazzy Who Cares? choreographed by George Balanchine with music by George Gershwin; the return of the hauntingly beautiful Berceuse by Penny Saunders; the Wedding Scene from the timeless fairytale, The Sleeping Beauty featuring the entire company and Two One Self by Diablo Ballet's Michael Wells and choreographer Derion Loman, whose electrifying performances have been seen on America's Got Talent and World of Dance.

Running Time: approx. 60 minutes

This performance, filmed in Diablo Ballet's black box theatre, is presented virtually on demand over two weekends; February 19 - 21 and 26 - 28, 2021.

Viewing will begin Fridays at 12:00 PM PST through Sundays at 9:00 PM PST.
