New York based flutist, Tara Helen O'Connor is a charismatic performer sought after for her unusual artistic depth, brilliant technique, and colorful tone in music of every era.
Not to be confused with the film score, the Lord of the Rings Symphony was written between 1984 and 1987 by the Dutch composer Johan de Meij. Each of its five movements illustrates a person or important episode from the trilogy by Tolkein.

Julie McKenzie is Principal Flutist of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and Piccolist of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, positions she has held since 1991. She is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Lloyed Gowen. She is on the flute faculty of the University of Califonia at Berkeley.
For twenty-eight years the Walnut Creek Concert Band has proudly served the community as the Official Concert Band of the City of Walnut Creek, presenting performances of quality music for the Concert Band at the Lesher Arts Center and throughout the community.
