The Newsmakers: Lesher Speaker Series is pleased to have First Place for Youth as our non-profit partner for this presentation featuring:

Adam Steltzner
Leader & Chief Engineer, NASA Mars 2020 Mission

As Chief Engineer of the Mars 2020 Mission, Adam leads the NASA-JPL team that defied odds by launching and landing the Mars Rover Perseverance amid the global COVID pandemic. Steltzner previously led an A-team of engineers that invented and created the ingenious landing system that spectacularly placed the Rover Curiosity on Mars in 2012. He speaks on how collaborative cultures and leadership fuel performance.

Running Time: approx. 90 minutes, with no intermission
Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 is required for all guests age 12 and over, and face coverings are required to be worn by all guests age two and over when visiting the Lesher Center for the Arts.

The presentation in the Vukasin Theatre is a live televised, simulcast viewing.
