Join Tony La Russa and a cavalcade of comedians at ARF’s annual Comedy Night showcase, the Friday night precursor to the Stars to the Rescue variety show! Stand up for animals with an evening of laughter benefiting ARF’s lifesaving programs.

Running Time: approx. 2 hours 15 minutes, with one intermission

2017 Lineup:

LARRY "BUBBLES" BROWN

Larry “Bubbles” Brown has been a Bay Area comic for three decades, made multiple appearances on the David Letterman Show, and was featured in the movie The Kite Runner.  He is a frequent opening act for Dana Carvey and Rob Schneider  - and dedicated to saving elephants.

MAUREEN LANGAN

Maureen Langan is a New York City based standup comic who has performed all over the country and world. She is a MAC Award Winner and was a top finalist in the San Francisco Comedy Competition. She was named Best in the Fest at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.

JILL MARAGOS

Jill Maragos developed her sense of humor and knack for story-telling as a survival tactic for growing up with a crazy family in Buffalo, NY.  With degrees in broadcast journalism and mechanical engineering, she made the natural progression into stand-up comedy.

PATRICK MCDERMOTT

Patrick McDermott has performed at comedy clubs and theaters throughout California, such as the San Francisco Punch Line, the San Jose Improv, Marin Center and the Throckmorton Theatre. He has opened for such comedy greats as Louie Anderson and Rob Schneider.

KABIR "KABEEZY" SINGH

Kabir "Kabeezy" Singh is one of the fastest rising stand-up comedians in America, headlining nights at the Hollywood Improv, Hollywood Laugh Factory, Long Beach Laugh Factory, SF Punchline, SF Cobbs, and selling out many other clubs all over the country. The winner of the 2014 San Francisco Comedy Competition, Kabir has opened and shared the stage with Dave Chappelle, Dane Cook, Bill Burr, Russell Peters and has also been seen touring on the "BFF" Tour with Jo Koy and Anjelah Johnson.

JOHNNY STEELE

Johnny Steele is a comedian, some-time talk show host, writer, humorist, political satirist, acclaimed actor, and all-around commentator. An early winner of the San Francisco Comedy Competition, Johnny is a master of the ad lib and has headlined across the United States, Canada, and overseas.
