January 27, 2017

Recipient of a record-breaking six Tony Awards, two Grammy Awards, and an Emmy Award, Audra McDonald was recently awarded the 2015 National Medal of Arts by President Obama and named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people of the year. The Juilliard-trained singer and actress last starred on Broadway in Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed and appears in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, slated for theatrical release in March 2017. In addition to her offstage roles as a loving wife and mother, McDonald is a prominent advocate for equal rights, LGBTQ causes, and underprivileged youth.

Running Time: approx. 90 minutes, without an intermission
Will Swenson was most recently seen on Broadway in Disaster (Tony Delvecchio) and Les Misérables (Javert) and received a Tony nomination for his performance in Hair (Berger). He has appeared in television series such as The Good Wife and Law & Order: Criminal Intent and on film in This Is Where I Leave You, and The Switch. In 2015, Swenson curated an autobiographical cabaret mixing life stories with song and featuring guest performers in a week-long run at New York’s 54 Below. Like his wife, Swenson is dedicated to equal rights causes; the couple was featured in NOH8’s campaign against Proposition 8 and received PFLAG’s 2012 Straight for Equality in Entertainment Award.
